Updated GSP Public Review Draft
Available for Public Comment
The Madera Water District GSA has updated its Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) to address the corrective actions identified by the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) in the December 21, 2023, approval. Addressing these actions is crucial to maintain the approval granted by DWR and proceed with local implementation of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA).
The minimum 45-day public comment period begins November 12, 2024 and concludes December 27, 2024. There will be a public hearing on January 15, 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Madera Water District GSA Board of Directors meeting.
All stakeholders are encouraged to review the Plan and provide comments. Please review the draft GSP and submit written comments by December 27, 2024. There are two ways to submit a public comment in addition to commenting at the public hearing:
- By email to info@mwdgsa.org
- By mail to the Madera Water District GSA at 1663 N. Schnoor Street, Sute 105, Madera, CA 93637
