Madera Subbasin Joint GSP Meeting: The Madera Subbasin held a joint meeting for public commenting on the Madera Subbasin Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) on Monday, December 2, 2019 at the Madera County Government Center’s Board of Supervisors Chambers (located at 200 West 4th Street in Madera). Madera Water District GSA Public Workshop – A public workshop was held on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at the Agriland Training Center in Chowchilla.  This workshop provided an overview of the draft Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) for the Madera Subbasin.  GSA representatives were available to answer stakeholder questions. Public Technical Workshop and Coordination Committee Meeting. The Madera Subbasin GSAs held a Public Technical Workshop to present a complete draft of the Madera Subbasin Joint Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP).  The workshop was held on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Madera County Board of Supervisors Chambers, located at 200 West 4th Street in Madera.  Spanish translation was available. Madera Subbasin Public Technical Workshop – A Public Technical Workshop for the Madera Subbasin Joint GSP was held on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at the Madera County Board of Supervisors Chambers in Madera. Topics discussed included sustainability goals, monitoring networks, minimum thresholds for all sustainability indicators, and measurable objectives and 5-year interim milestones. Agenda (PDF). Madera Subbasin Public Technical Workshop – A Public Technical Workshop for the Madera Subbasin Joint GSP was held on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at the Frank Bergon Senior Center in Madera. Topics discussed included groundwater model calibration and results, projected future hydrology, projects, and minimum thresholds and measurable objectives. Workshop Flyer (PDF). Agenda (PDF). 

Madera Subbasin Coordination Committee Meeting – The Madera Subbasin Coordination Committee met on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the Frank Bergon Senior Center’s Multi-Purpose Room in Madera.  The agenda consisted of discussions on groundwater modeling, the importance of coordination, and a status report of the Groundwater Sustainability Plan within the subbasin. SGMA Technical Workshop – A technical workshop to support Groundwater Sustainability Plan development for the Madera and Chowchilla Subbasins was held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the Frank Bergon Senior Center, Multi-Purpose Room (located at 238 S. Madera Subbasin Technical/Public Workshop for the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act – A technical/public workshop was held on October 18, 2018 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. at the Frank Bergon Senior Center Multi-Purpose Room in Madera to support developing a Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) for the Madera Subbasin. In this workshop, we discussed what the future of groundwater looks like by GSA, projects and management actions by GSA. Workshop Flyer (PDF).

Madera Subbasin Public Workshop for the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act – A public workshop was held on August 15, 2018 at 6 p.m. at the Agriland Training Center in Chowchilla, hosted by the Madera Subbasin for the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA). Madera Subbasin Public Workshop for the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act – A public workshop was hosted on Monday June 25, 2018 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Madera Farm Bureau by the Madera Subbasin for the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA). This workshop was part of a series of recurring workshops to support developing a Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) for the Madera Subbasin.
